This demo video presents how UiPath‘s Document Understanding and Agentic automation transform document handling, for example with purchase orders. What makes the automation agentic is the AI agent’s ability to support decisions: through UiPath Autopilot, employees can chat with the agent in Microsoft Teams, review extraction results, and get guided recommendations. The automation could be developed further so that the agent could even automatically upload invoices that pass a confidence threshold directly into the ERP, further closing the loop.
This technology can be applied to processing other types of documents as well, like invoices, forms, receipts, passports, etc. By using Document Understanding combined with Agentic automation, organizations can can take the pain out of manual data extraction and unlock new levels of efficiency. Documents are processed faster and with greater accuracy, supporting tasks like invoice reconciliation.
