Power Automate
Boost efficiency in processes with workflow automation

Power Automate: Microsoft's RPA solution
Power Automate is a tool from Microsoft’s Power Platform toolset which enables automating processes in business applications or services without coding. It is essentially an RPA solution from Microsoft that can be easily implemented along with Power Platform. This cloud-based solution can control data flows with hundreds of applications, and just like other RPA solutions, it allows workflow automation between different systems even if they aren’t compatible with each other, creating integrations between those systems. Power Automate is particularly suitable for organizations already in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Use cases for Power Automate
Power automate is excellent for automating daily tasks like managing data and reporting. It integrates different systems with like ERP, data storage, Power BI or CRM. Power automate is particularly suitable for simple, on-demand automations within Microsoft’s products or attended automations for individual employees or teams.
1. REPORTING
Automate weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting based on your needs by combining data from different sources like excel, PDFs or databases.
2. MANAGING, COPYING & SAVING DATA
Copy, export or save data from different sources like Sharepoint to ERP.
3. STANDARD WORKFLOWS
Like onboarding a new employee: registering that person to different systems and sending information about it.
4. CREATING ALERTS FROM TRIGGERS
For example, get a notification whenever the company name is mentioned in Social media or when you receive an email from a certain address.
5. MONITORING EVENTS
Getting notifications whenever a specific action is produced, like a new customer contract etc.

Low code and RPA together are a powerful combination
Low-code and RPA address similar business challenges, like manual routines across legacy systems or budget and time constraints. Even so, both have a place in the enterprise toolset and have their respective strengths and weaknesses. Applied wisely together they make a powerful combination.
Low-code offers quick and scalable front-end UIs for human interaction, connects organization’s existing data and applies business rules and workflow controls with just a few clicks. Often low-code still needs additional functionality ideally suited for RPA to scrape data from external sources or emulate user’s data entry into legacy systems. Complementing low-code frontend with RPA in the backend achieves much more together.
