Automation saves time, increases traceability and reliability at Transelec

”At Transelec, we are on a powerful path to digitize the company and make much better use of data exploitation, reduce errors and increase traceability, and reliability of the data we have”, states Tomás Riddell, Head of Innovation and Ventures at Transelec.
“Technology has proven to be very effective in this regard; it performs well, is accurate, and completes tasks much more quickly”, adds Alejandro Rehbein, Technology & Innovation Manager at Transelec.
“On average, we have increased process speed by 80 to 85%. That is the direct time-saving benefit. Additionally, automation brings many other advantages such as increased traceability and higher availability. This means we are not dependent on someone being present to perform a task instead, we can carry it out 24/7”, Tomás Riddell explains.
“We have automated information gross-referencing and database creation for reports, for instance in the IT department”, describes Daniela Cárdenas, Tax Analyst at Transelec.
“We have been in this process of automating crucial company processes for one or two years now, and we have consistently observed the value it brings. As a result, we have become increasingly convinced that we need to continue scaling towards other processes and areas", Alejandro Rehbein continues.
“The robots handle the entire repetitive procedures, allowing analysts to do our jobs in analysing the information” Daniela Cárdenas adds.

This year, we are closing with approximately 27 to 30 robots operating in the company and next year, we aim to at least double that number” Alejandro Rehbein affirms.
